Life in a Big Country

After 10 months here in the U.S., this is what I learnt about living in a BIG Country :P

1. You need to drive at least 1 hour to get out of your neighbourhood
2. You fill your entire supermarket cart with groceries on weekends
3. You may have deer or other animals dropping by your house
4. Sometimes there's no fish in the supermarkets
5. Sometimes there's no supply of certain vaccination available for your kid and you will be informed only when there is (which is dunno when)
6. Gas can be USD3.00 today, and USD 4.00 tomorrow, it can cost USD4.10 over here, and USD 4.30 over there
7. You can return a coffee grinder if it breaks down after you used it 3 times.
8. You can get free magazines if you check out the right websites
9. You can have an inflatable private pool at your backyard
10. You can have snow in early May, and a 90 degF-weekend end of May
11. To get your kid into a desired childcare, you may have to book 1 year in advance. To get your kid into a desired infant care, start booking when you know you're pregnant.
12. Doing volunteer work at your kids' school is almost mandatory, starting from preschool.
