A family who prays together, stays together.

As the saying goes, "A family who prays together, stays together..." This is a year whereby I think it's time for our family to grow in the Lord. We thought it is also time for our 3 year-old daughter to know more about God. We are very lucky to have found a family-focused church. The church provided us with ideas and resource on how to conduct family devotions that are suitable for children of all ages. Below are what we did:

Family Devotion 1:
Theme: God is my Shepherd; Jesus (my shepherd) loves me and keeps me safe
Bible verse: [Ps 23]
Activity: Art & Craft
Learning points: God is our shepherd, we are all like sheep. The shepherd takes care of the sheep. God takes care of us, and keeps us safe.

Family Devotion 2:
Theme: As we are visiting a farm this week, we decide to deviate from the resource provided. Thus, theme for this week is "God makes things grow"
Activity: Growing a bean plant
Learning point: Only God can make trees. God made plants, animals and even human beings like us. Only God can make things grow.

Day 01: the beans begins to sprout

Day 07: See how tall the bean plant is now...
